How much does a custom-made suit cost at MASSURA?

A complete custom-made suit starts at €1,950; individual jackets start at €1,450; pants start at €500; and coats start at €2,000. The final price depends on the fabric, the chosen style, and the design—in all cases, the price includes individual measurements and multiple fittings. Do you only offer fully handmade, custom-made items, or are there more affordable options as well?

We offer three lines of custom-made clothing and shirts. The most affordable line is primarily machine-made, with a few handcrafted elements. The other two lines are mostly or entirely handcrafted. How long does it take to make?

It usually takes 8 to 10 weeks from the initial consultation to delivery. During the consultation and measurement session (approx. 1–2 hours), we discuss the fabric, cut, and details, and take your measurements. The first fitting takes place about 6–8 weeks later, followed by additional fittings if necessary. After the final fitting, the garment is completed in our workshop in Italy, and delivery takes place 1–2 weeks later.

How many fittings are needed?

Usually, one fitting is enough to achieve the perfect fit. If more adjustments are needed—for example, due to very unique proportions or more complex cuts—we schedule a second or, in rare cases, a third fitting. This ensures that the shoulder line, lapels, and overall silhouette fit perfectly before the garment leaves our workshop.

Can you also tailor garments for an athletic build or a greater discrepancy between the bust and waist (large drop)?

Yes, that's one of the advantages of custom-made clothing—we tailor the cut and fit individually to your body type, even if you have an athletic build or a larger drop.

What is the difference between made-to-measure and bespoke?

With our made-to-measure service, we start with a basic pattern that has been refined over the years and is individually tailored to your measurements—a faster and more affordable way to experience custom-made clothing, without compromising on materials or craftsmanship. With Bespoke, the pattern is developed from scratch exclusively for you and permanently archived—serving as the foundation for all future orders. In our handcrafted lines, tailoring is done entirely by hand.

What is the MASSURA house style, and can I deviate from it?

Our signature style is inspired by the 1960s Neapolitan Riviera style: a soft, unpadded “Spalla Camicia” shoulder, a slightly rounded collar, a wide lapel (11–14 cm depending on the model), the characteristic 3-roll-2 or 6×2 button placement, and the “Barchetta” chest pocket. Do you also offer custom-made shoes?

We don't make shoes ourselves—instead, we work with the Munich-based custom shoemaker MOGADA so that you have a trusted source for custom-made shoes that meets our own high standards of quality.

Where is it manufactured?

All of our suits are made in our workshop in Italy. For our handmade lines, this is largely done by hand—50 to 100 hours per garment, depending on the design and complexity. This includes, among other things, the hand-sewn floating interlining made of horsehair, wool, cotton, and linen, as well as the hand-stitched lapels (pad stitching).

Can I get some advice with no obligation?

Yes. During the free consultation at our Munich studio or via Zoom, we’ll discuss fabric selection, the cut, and details together, and take your measurements on the spot if needed—with absolutely no obligation. Schedule an appointment

Are future price changes included?

Yes. With our entirely handmade lines, even more extensive changes down the line are included—for example, if your body shape changes over the years. For our other lines, we’re also happy to make simpler alterations.

Can I bring my own fabric?

Yes, that's possible. The cost of the fabric you bring will then be deducted from the total price.

Can I order another suit without having to be measured again?

Yes. Since we permanently archive your measurements, we can use them as a basis for future orders—there’s usually no need to take your measurements again.

Can I return a custom-made garment?

By law, there is no right of return for custom-made garments, as each piece is made specifically for you and according to your measurements. However, if you are not satisfied, we will work together to find a solution. Your satisfaction is important to us.

How important is sustainability to MASSURA?
